OOC: I'd suggest just boting Becky for now since Kahoots is grounded for the week. |
Fiona leapt off her bed, her food slamming to the ground as she yelped in shock, pulling her blade from it's sheath. She starred at her intruder as it seemed to dawn on him that he had the wrong room and quickly excused himself. Her heart still in a dead sprint it dawned on her that it was the same man from the diner, slowly moving to her door she watched him kick down two more doors in frantic pace. A puzzled look on her face as she witnessed this spectacle, Fiona couldn't help but to grab her things and hang just within ear shot of them.
"Hey Aeneas, hold it, whats going on?" said a man, Fiona just barely able to hear them
"The blue kingdom is about to attack. They'll be here by dawn, I need to get you guys out of the city before the battle begins. Treen, you go get that sailor friend of yours, have him ready his boat. Me, Arwald, and Becky will be waiting down by the docks." Fiona didn't bother to hang around to hear anymore, she immediately packed up what was left of her items and leaped out the room window. Climbing on top of the Inn, she could see out into the blackness surrounding Antivan, there were three large Bonfires on each side of the town, knowing the Docks would soon be cut off, she knew she had to get there fast. Having dropped from the Inn she stood up and brushed herself off before making for the docks.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Treen grabbed Becky by the shoulders, pulling her in for a long hug. "You protect her with your life!" Treen said to Aeneas. "Love, don't leave their sides alright? I'll see you at the docks!" Treen gave Becky one last kiss and took off for the docks. Treen blasted out the Inn in full sprint for the docks, his legs pounding on the pavement with each stride. He went through the town center and started past the gate, leaving the town for the path to the docks. Slowly silence and darkness fell upon him as civilization became wilderness. The sound of his panting non-stop, his lungs burned as he continued on. Suddenly a hooded figure came out from the woods beside him, matching his pace with ease.
"You're pretty slow!" hollered the hooded figure, it's voice womanly.
"Who...are...You!" Panted Treen, trying to keep his pace.
"I'm faster, let me warn the docks!"
"No...!"
"Don't start that with me! If we don't warn them they'll be blockaded!"
"What's...stopping...you?"
"I don't have fare for passage...pay my way onto a boat and I'll help..."
"Not....Happening..." Treen stated, as the hooded figure took off in front off him.
"Consider me...a friend of the Green Kingdom...now which boat are you using?!" repeated the hooded figure, her voice losing patience. Treen was surprised at what she knew, but was still hesitant.
"Capt. Hartwyck's boat, the Eternal Joy!" Treen answered
"Right, I'll let him know!" replied the hooded woman, moving ahead of Treen.
"Tell him the Stuffed Weasel Sent ya!"
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Fiona took up her pace, leaving Treen in the dust as she sprinted for the port. A burst of lights and sounds engulfed her as she shot out of the wilderness and into the port, running along the docks looking at the monikers of the ships, seeking out the Eternal Joy. Reaching the end of the docks she finally spotted it and stopped just off it's gangplank.
"I wish to speak to the Captain! It's of urgent business!" hollered Fiona, pulling her ninja hood from her head as her hair unfolded in a gracious display. Suddenly a sharp whistle cut through the air as the Captain reached the end of the deck.
"My you're a beautiful one....What is it you're here for?" Asked Marlow.
"The...Stuffed Weasel sent me!" Fiona said, echoing Treen's words...Slowly the Captain had a sly smile come to his face.
"Ah, so he sent ya? What's the problem?!"
"It's the Blue Kingdom...They have an army outside Antivan...We need passage, Now!" Fiona explained, including herself in Treen's group.
"Aye, I understand. Get aboard!" Marlow replied. "Alright, you Scumbags...Emergency departure! Expect incoming human cargo!" Marlow barked, moving his men into position. "Now then, little lady, if you would be so kind as to follow my first mate below, he'll show you to your quarters."
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Treen finally exited the wilderness, looking at the docks, the first thing to catch his eye were the four men with rifles pointed at him.
"Hey, you Drowned Rat! Took ya long enough!" shouted Marlow, raising from his cover as he made his way to Treen.
"Everything...ready...?" Treen panted, looking past to the docks. There was only one ship left in the harbor.
"We had to pull away from the docks to guarantee a fast escape." Marlow explained. "Is that everyone?"
"No...three more coming."
"Three! Geez...you even came unarmed too!"
"Would have just slowed me down." Treen explained as Marlow chucked his rifle at Treen.
"It's single shot, but it's got great Accuracy" Said Marlow, grabbing a nearby Lantern. "Let's go get your friends."
With rifle at the ready, Treen followed Marlow and his men back into the woods, his lantern lighting the way.
