Well, since we're revamping the site (As the more observant ones among you have noticed.) We are going to add forum ranks here. Now, I have a few ideas, but just to make sure, I want to ask what kind of theme (Or one at all) people would like to see. I'll take the best ideas and make a poll, to we can decide which one to go for, and than I'll whip up names.

Now how so do you intend to implement themes into the ranks? Like Pvt, Cpt., Sgt, etc. if we were to pick a militaristic theme?

Yes, something that has some formal hierarchy and ascends to something that is generally regarded as better than the one below it.

how about something greek/roman themed like peasant, stable boy, black smith, grunt, archer, gladiator, chariot rider ...etc

Yes, that was something I had in mind. Originally, I was just going to go for it, but I wanted to hear everyones opinion on the matter before I run out and screw with stuff.

I was thinking of a theme like what Xros_Destroyer mentioned (Kudos to you), with the exact ranks and requirements being determined by the moderation team and keeping the exact requirements secretive to motivate members to find out themselves what the ranks are.

That was primarily my idea, although I was thinking of basing them off of post count,however, fulfilling certain requirements per rank is a MUCH better idea. I say we do a Roman theme. Theres alot more to add in with them in regards to names.

A mixture of a Greek theme and a Roman theme would be better, considering our clan name, that is. The forum only allows basing them off of post count, but we could certainly get the higher up ranks to have certain Forum Achievements, Kudos etc.

The Olympians existed during the Roman Empire as well. A mixture is a good idea as well. Although as far as militaristic names go, the Romans have that down. I can easily think of names, but each name will need to match the requirement as well.

Correct. Do you think we got enough info to move this to the Mod thread so we may formulate the system?

Was going to put up a poll, but since Greek/Roman was the main theme (Duh) I got for the most part, I don't think its needed.

Alright. First off I need the exact number of ranks, and the number of achievement ranks and what it takes to earn them. I suggest we think of the post type of ranks, since those are fairly easier to figure out.

Hm...maybe 5-10 ranks. Maybe base 5 on post count and the others on general clan activity.

Hmm.....I have a feeling there will be more than 5-10 ranks honestly. Not with the number of achievements Pim can think of. Although I can see roughly 5-10 ranks for posts alone.

Agreed. We can have as many achievements as we like however. Time to start with the Hierarchy. I don't think we can call members "Slaves," so how about Peasant to start?

Meh, to reduce confusion I think we should use the real terms for Admins and Mods, but for the text, I could make it that.
